Greater Richmond ARC’s Camp Baker is a full-service, handicap-equipped retreat located on 22 wooded acres on Beach Road near Chesterfield Courthouse. Camp Baker has been serving individuals with special needs since 1929 when it was a respite for undernourished children known as W.W. Baker Summer Camp. In 1957, ownership was transferred to Chesterfield County under the care of Greater Richmond ARC and renamed Camp Baker to serve children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Grange is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in more than 2,100 hometowns across America. They have nearly 150 years of history, a spirit of grassroots advocacy, and a fraternal spirit that they are happy to share. The meetings are held monthly on the first Thursday of each month at 11401 Bundle Rd, Chesterfield.
On Sunday, April 24 from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., the Grange will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner. Dinner includes, a spaghetti plate, salad, bread, a drink and dessert. Adults $7, Kids four to 12 $4 and kids under three eat free. The dinner will be held at their hall at 11401 Bundle Rd. For more information call 790-1328.
