The 2016 U.S. Olympic Fencing Team, on the evening of April 11, was escorted by the Greater Chester Knights and Salle Green Fencing Clubs onto the stage during a Richmond Convention Center event leading up the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro. It was streamed live around the world where the 2016 team members were introduced.
The Monacan High School drum line performed ahead of the fencers. Local fencers, from left are Mitchell Brooks, Trevor Brown, Grace Larmee (Salle Green), Tyler Field, EvinGwaltney (Salle Green), Jeremy Dial and Tim Armstrong.
The Chester Knights meet at Salem Middle School and is co-sponsored by Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation.
