A free football camp began Monday, June 20 and will continue through Saturday July 30. This is the first annual free football camp sponsored by the Chesterfield Giants and the Chesterfield Metro Youth Football League.
The Chesterfield Metro Youth Football (CMYFL) was established in 1998, CMYFL offers a truly special opportunity for all young players and cheerleaders to participate in the great game of youth football. And with no “Striper” rule and with a “Must Play “rule the CMYFL presents a fair and balanced opportunity for all. Playing teams from around the central Virginia metro area, the Chesterfield Giants face the very best in competition there is and affords our young players the chance to meet and compete against other players that otherwise they would never face.
Camp will take place Monday and Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Carver Middle School practice site, 3800 Cougar Trail, Chester.
Camp will be staffed by current Giant coaches and board members. Special guests could include former NFL players, current and former college athletes, and current VHSL coaches.
Camp will be available to anyone ages 5-13. Invite family members and/or friends. Camp will be FREE to all participants.
Camps Focus will be to improve overall football skills and knowledge along with light conditioning NO CONTACT
