The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a pickpocket and credit card fraud case.

On Thursday, Aug. 11, at about 2:30 p.m., a woman was shopping at Stein Mart on Commonwealth Center Parkway. An unknown woman began to ask her questions about clothing. During the conversation, the unknown woman leaned against the victim, but the victim did not realize she was being pickpocketed. The victim discovered her wallet was missing when her bank contacted her about unusual purchases being made with her credit card.

When detectives looked into the incident, they learned a white male was with the female suspect, and they were both seen making thousands of dollars worth of purchases with the stolen card at the Target on Commonwealth Center Parkway.

The female appeared to be Native American or Alaskan. She had long, dark, braided hair underneath a dark-colored ball cap. She was wearing dark-colored pants and a long-sleeved white top. The male suspect was Caucasian. He had a beard and wore a black baseball cap with blue print on the front. They were seen driving away in a dark-colored minivan.
