Families from the Enon Elementary School found out last month in order for their strong desire to have the elementary school prototype design to be implemented on the current school footprint. The existing school will need to be torn down. That demolition work will begin this summer. To accommodate the demolition work and the associated school construction that will begin this summer.
Enon Elementary students will be housed on the Marguerite Christian Elementary campus during the 2016-17 school year. There is additional capacity for students at Marguerite Christian, meaning students will be taught in both the main school and trailers. Not all Enon students will be taught in a trailer.
Leaders from both schools have started planning to accommodate the transition. They are looking at campus safety, how grade levels will work together and how to preserve each school’s unique traditions.
