ocal HS art student win awards at State Fair
Chesterfield County Public Schools students from the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center at Courthouse won numerous awards in the Virginia State Fair Youth Arts and Crafts contest. Nineteen students from Chesterfield County Public Schools entered artwork into the competition.
Four students won or tied for first place in their categories in the electronic media portion of the contest, and one student received the Best in Division honor for an original computer illustration.

First Place: “Portrait” by Faith Faulkner, James River
Second Place: “Double Exposure Self Portrait” by Kayla Eaglin, Clover Hill
Third Place (tie): “Giraffe” by Jensen Klenske, Cosby
Third Place (tie): “Brownstone” by Chris Accurso, Thomas Dale
Original Computer Illustration:
Best in Division: “Sugar Skull” by Joelle Probst, James River
First Place: “Diner Devine” by Sha’Rena Miller, Thomas Dale
Second Place: “Self Portrait” by Alison Connolly, Matoaca
Third Place: “Jellyfish” by Jensen Klenske, Cosby
