A 2015 Thomas Dale High School graduate recently qualified for the Intercollegiate Rifle Championships, which will take place March 22-24 in Fort Benning, Ga.
Rachel Brinkley qualified as a member of Liberty University’s small bore rifle team at the Feb. 9 competition in Charlottesville.
The purpose of the Intercollegiate Rifle Championships is to determine the National Collegiate Rifle individual and team champions.
Brinkley, a senior majoring in healthcare informatics, qualified in the air rifle competition.
She is a member of the university’s inaugural rifle team.
