New drive-through lanes approved for Chick-fil-A

The Chester Chick-fil-A may soon be getting two new drive-through lanes after the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors approved a zoning amendment last week.

The request for the business at 2900 West Hundred Road also includes a minor building addition. It involved an 11-foot exception to the 50-foot setback along West Hundred Road.

The applicant believes this new design will improve traffic flow at the site, as vehicles back up and sometimes block access to the adjacent U.S. Post Office.

A condition of approval requires the business to install landscaping to reduce the visibility of the parking area from Route 10.

Planning staff recommended approval.
