The 1954 Thomas Dale High School football team went 9-0 under the tutelage of coach Ed Karpus. It was the first time the Knights were undefeated. The following players were named to the All-Suburban team: Bobby Dale, Mack Daniels, Buzzy Haymans, H.O. Lyne and Bruce Nunnally.
