Arts center foundation hires CFO

Continuing with a commitment to engaging outstanding leadership, the Executive Committee of the Chesterfield Cultural Arts Foundation Board of Directors has contracted with Allan Carmody to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for the nonprofit.  Allan earned his B.S. in Engineering Technology from ODU, and later completed core coursework towards an M.S. in Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech.  He began his 35-year career working with private sector architectural/engineering firms in design, inspection and construction management functions.  Later he switched to finance roles with the Chesterfield County budget office, progressing to the position of Finance Director before retiring in 2019.  Allan worked on formulating the financing and partnership agreements for the Perkinson Center.  He was a two-time gubernatorial appointee to VA’s Design-Build/Construction Management Review Board, and contributor to Capital Project Planning and Evaluation—Expanding the Role of the Finance Officer by Joseph Casey and Michael Mucha, published by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, 2007.  Allan is married with two adult children, and he resides in Midlothian.  His interests include sports, photography, and spending time with his family.
