Chelsea Longbottom, a home educator, committed volunteer, wife, and mother, was chosen to compete for the title of Mrs. Virginia America from a field of applicants throughout the area.

Longbottom’s commitment to raising her children with a strong sense of giving back to the region through volunteerism, community outreach, and social and educational activities throughout the county were significant in her being chosen for the title of Mrs. Chesterfield. “I want to use this time and platform to restore morale during a trying year, support and promote small and local businesses, and do my part in continuing to serve our neighborhoods, families, and non profits,” Longbottom said. “And I want my children to follow in my footsteps in giving back to their communities.”

Longbottom’s husband, Danny, a Senior Networking Technician is proud of her as are her children, Jeremiah, Nathan, Mia, and Maddox. In addition to being a committed wife, mother, and home educator, Chelsea also enjoys walking and hiking, serving in the nursery and preschool department at her church, singing and being a music teacher with the children’s choir at church, modeling for a local boutique, leading active or educational activities for mothers and children, and trying out local restaurants.

Mrs. Chesterfield will compete in three categories for the Mrs. Virginia title: personal interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. Contestants for the Mrs. Virginia America Pageant must be married and live in the city or county they represent. The winner will receive a prize package worth thousands of dollars and will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. America.

The local volunteer and mother will represent Chesterfield in competing for the title of Mrs. Virginia America on May 15, 2021 at The Dogwood in South Hill. For sponsorship or ticket information please call (757) 287-1790 or e-mail [email protected]
