Rick D’Abreu
Thomas Dale High School
Sophomore at East Carolina

D’Abreu missed his senior season at Thomas Dale due to injury, but that didn’t stop the colleges from calling. After initially committing to James Madison University, D’Abreu ended up at East Carolina. In a 27-23 loss to Navy, he may have had a breakout game. The sophomore defensive lineman for the Pirates racked up 10 tackles, one for a loss, and he forced a fumble.

Isaiah Moore
L.C. Bird High School
Junior (R) at N. C. State

Moore, named a team captain for the Wolfpack for his redshirt junior season, racked up the tackles this past week. In a 31-20 victory over Duke, Moore finished the game with 12 total tackles and a half-sack. Most importantly for the junior, his team got the victory and improved its record to 4-1, something many ACC pundits didn’t see coming from N.C. State.

Chris Tyree
Thomas Dale High School
Freshman at Notre Dame

There was never a time at Thomas Dale when Tyree didn’t turn heads with his blazing speed. Now, he’s doing the same for the Fighting Irish, who are undefeated at 4-0. Against Florida State on Oct. 10, Tyree notched his first 100-yard rushing performance, totaling 103 yards in a 42-26 victory for Notre Dame, also scoring a touchdown. This came on the heels of the freshman scoring his first career touchdown against South Florida on Sept. 19.
