FAMILIES IN THE OUTDOORS- 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This adventurous outing through the Brown & Williamson Conservation Area will include about three miles of mostly bushwhacking and one stream crossing. Along the way, explore the vernal pool, look for skunk cabbage at the secret seep, look for bald eagles on the bluff overlooking the James River and have a quiet lunch in the hollow. BABY BASICS MOM’S CLUB- 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The Mom’s Club is a great opportunity to meet other moms-to-be while discussing with trained facilitators topics to help women have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. Classes include information about preterm labor, car-seat safety, nutrition, breastfeeding and more. Support persons are encouraged to attend with moms.
