THE ACOUSTIC CONCERT SERIES – 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Central Library. Free concert. Orion plays the traditional dance music of America, the British Isles, and Canada: toe-tapping reels, lively jigs, and beautiful waltzes mixed in with slow airs, vocals, and music from around the world.

MINECRAFT ENGINEERING – Enon Library. 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Work in teams to solve a series of engineering challenges, such as crafting a space ship to go to the moon or designing and building a bridge to connect islands. Register online at library.chesterfield.gov

REMOTE CONTROL CAR RODEO – Meadowdale Library. 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Be the pit crew for your own RC car. Bring in your vehicle and modify the steering, suspension and transmission to get better performance. – then test your car on an outdoor track.

Swirling with student creativity, this event will feature examples of visual arts and performing arts. On display will be thousands of paintings, drawings, sculptures and other visual art created by students in the 63 schools of Chesterfield County Public Schools. Three stages will feature student performers, including a variety of music, acting and singing.
