Betty Matthews, who is known as a mover and shaker in Chester celebrated with 50-plus friends and family her 90th birthday. The festivities took place last Sunday at Swift Creek Playhouse.
Betty is well known for her 20-year advocacy of the Chesterfield Center for the Arts and its foundation, She founded the organization to promote her vision. Construction on the Arts Center will begin within the next several months.
