Hello and welcome back to the wonderful world of the Dogpound. Not much is happening of late….things are pretty much in a boring routine…which in many cases that would not be a bad thing but when you are trying to build and sell a house which is struggling ..that is not such a good thing. Got to find a way to get on the right side of this circle…hopefully soon.
Speaking of getting on the right side of things, there is a lot of talk about the first 100 days of the presidency. I am not sure who came up with that time line, but it seems very arbitrary. I have had the opportunity …first hand…to take over new jobs…in new companies …in new cities and it is not easy. The learning curve is tremendous. You just can’t go in and start making changes until you understand the lay of the land….your personal…the company environment, objectives, and structure. I should say that you can come in like a bull in a china shop, but the odds of your success is greatly limited. In addition you are not always in control of the areas that need fixed or changed. For example, my forte is in Materials Management, but we are heavily dependent on Production executing the plan. I may have the best reasoned and factual plan for change, but there is no guarantee that they will see the same thing in the same light. So, for most things it is the long haul that counts. One that has an agenda built on defined and measureable objectives. So we will see what happens over the next four years, and regardless if you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or a “I just don’t care…” we can only pray it all works out for the best. The best for you, for me, and for the country.

SHAMPOO ALERT
As I was conditioning my hair in the shower this morning, I took time to read my shampoo bottle. I am in shock! The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my entire body says “for extra volume and body!” Seriously, why have I not noticed this before? Now I understand why I am so “full-figured!” Tomorrow I am going to start using Dawn dish soap. It says right on the label “dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove.” It pays to read the warning labels, my friends!
THEY LEARN SO YOUNG
Five-year-old Becky answered the door when the census taker came by. She told the census taker that her daddy was a doctor and wasn’t home because he was performing an appendectomy. “My,” said the census taker, “that sure is a big word for such a little girl. Do you know what it means?” “Sure! Fifteen hundred bucks and that doesn’t even include the anesthesiologist!”
