Hello and welcome back to the wonderful world of the Dogpound. Another holiday is rapidly approaching along with Father’s Day, Grandparents Day, and a host of others that are just too many to mention. Again, nothing wrong with showing our appreciation on a certain day but at the same time it should be a lesson to all of us that we need to show our appreciation every day, and it would not hurt on an occasion to send a nice card, or make time for a phone call, or even a small gift..flowers…candy….a little stuffed animal. It is not the size of the gift or how expensive; it is the importance of taking time out from your busy day to make their day a little bit more special. In today’s world where we have so many different ways to communicate…cell phone…text…Facebook… Facetime…email…etc…why do some of us still find it hard to find the time to make those special little moments. I know something about this since I have three kids…and two of them generally call me while they are driving using their Bluetooth connection [being safe]…and the other uses the private messaging on Facebook. I am not being negative at all about that …it is always good to hear from them…but …being their dad….I would love to hear from them more often. Back in my day…I know…way way back….letters and phone calls were the mode of operation. Letters/cards would take days to be delivered, and with phones being attached to the wall, it was difficult at times to catch the other person when you called. So anyway, the Pack wishes all of you moms and to-be moms and very happy Mother’s Day.

STUFFED
A hunter visited another hunter and was given a tour of his home. In the den was a stuffed lion. The visiting hunter asked, “When did you bag him?” The host said, “That was three years ago, when I went hunting with my wife.” “What’s he stuffed with?” asked the visiting hunter.
“My wife.”
DECISIONS
A married couple was celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. At the party, everybody wanted to know how they managed to stay married so long in this day and age. The husband responded, “When we were first married we came to an agreement. I would make all the major decisions and my wife would make all the minor decisions. And in 60 years of marriage we have never needed to make a major decision.”
