Hello and welcome back to the wonderful world of the Dogpound. Hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend…mine was going along pretty well till I got an e-mail from my master …on Memorial Day no less.
He said,”Hey, I know it is a holiday but we still have a paper to put out.” Yikes! I have been working my tail off all weekend, and just as I sat down to rest for the day, I get this little love note. I must have done something very wicked in my past life…lol. Anyway, I did work my tail off doing two of my least favorite things…pressure washing the house and putting up blinds. There are other things I do not like to do, but these two are pretty much at the top of the list. I have a very big house… why? The reason just kind of escapes me..but at the time it seemed like a good idea. I try to pressure wash my house at least once a year to keep the mildew to a minimum and keep the bug poop off the walls. I know you have seen those info-commercials where this blonde model sprays the siding with one hand and the dirt and mildew just washes away ..leaving the siding looking sparkling new, and all the while the model has no fear of cracking a fingernail or getting dirt on her new designer outfit. I wish! I mean …I do not wish to be that model…I just wish it was that easy. For example…I am using a sprayer that claims to put out 2000 psi…and I pointed that spray gun at a wasp nest that was sitting just under the porch gutter. My nozzle was about 3 inches from the nest, and it refused to budge. Not only did the nest not want to come off the gutter…the sole occupant..an adult wasp… road out the flood of water as well. I finally got it knocked down…but it took several tries. Then there is the bug poop…no idea what is made of…but up under the porch I get these little stains that will only come off with a sponge mop scrubbing. So in some places I am washing the same area several times; first I spray with water…then I spray with cleaning solution…..then I spray to remove the solution.
However, many times I need to go back and spray and scrub spots that did not come off…and I repeat the process…over and over. Plus this does not count the multiple times I have to climb up and down a ladder to reach all the areas of the house. By the end of the day I was one tired puppy, and still had 3 other sides yet to finish the following day. On top of that I had to wash all the windows inside and out, and mow the grass..plus there were six blinds to install. Nothing like a long weekend to get you psyched to go back to work where you can actually get some rest. LOL

That is all I have right now. As always, be good, do good, play safe, and remember, all work and no play made Jack a dull boy…but in my world, it made him sore and stiff. JR
