Hello and welcome back to the wonderful world of the Dogpound. Well, the good news is that nothing broke this week…knocking on wood…so I am left to find another topic to write about. So let’s chat about finances. I got one of my credit card statements and they among of several that haave started showing your FICO score. Now in my mind the higher the score …the better your credit rating; the better customer you are….a better risk to pay your bills. This credit rating is used not only for house loans…but they are now used in determining your cost for insurance, car loans, and even mobile phones. Ever since I started this little house project my credit score has climbed from 787 to 840…then, as soon as I stopped spending and started to pay off the credit amount…which you would think was a good thing…my credit score tumbled to 743. This is right on the border line of being “very dependable” and being just good.” I guess being good is not that bad, but I like to think that I am very dependable..and I would think paying your bills on time…all the time…. is a very dependable act. Well, one thing for sure, I have no plans to up my spending just to get that number up to an exceptional rating [over 800]….I will more than gladly live with just my average rating.
My wallet and my bank account will thank me.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

QUICKIES
The other day, a man jumped the White House fence. But after a brief chase, the Secret Service was able to talk President Trump into coming back and finishing his term.
The doorbell rang and the lady of the house discovered a workman, complete with tool chest, on the front porch.
“Madam,” he announced, “I’m the piano tuner.” The lady exclaimed, “Why, I didn’t send for a piano tuner.”
The man replied, “I know you didn’t, but your neighbors did.”
A tad short today, but I have been worn out with all of this “fix that” and “fix this,” and then worrying if the duct tape is going to hold.
As always be good, do good, play safe, and remember to spend your money wisely or someone will do it for you.
