Brennan and LauraBrooke McCarney, both third generation Chester residents competed in the Irish Dance Worlds this April in Brighton England. They are holding the Village News that featured an article on their uncle, Bryan Sheetz, of Hands and Pans. Brennan placed in the top three of his age division and LauraBrooke was the only American to place in the top three in her age division.

On Sunday, April 24, at approximately 10:40 a.m., a male suspect wearing a white mask and a purple and red bandanna on his face approached a clerk at the Food Lion at 20821 Woodpecker Road. He passed a note to the clerk demanding money, and fled the store toward University Apartments after receiving the cash. Most of us have seen or heard about the horrific, single-vehicle accident that happened in Hanover a few days ago. Every person in the vehicle was either injured or killed, when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree. Investigators believe that alcohol was a factor in this accident. When I saw the pictures of the tree, I was able to immediately draw a conclusion about this accident. The Falling Creek Ironworks Foundation will present its free annual event on Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. This event offers an opportunity to explore the site of America’s first iron furnace, the 1619-22 ironworks on Falling Creek, and to see some of the improvements recently added to the park. Guides will lead tours through the archaeological ruins of the 1619 ironworks. Other activities include exhibits, costumed interpretation, musket militia demonstrations and Native American dancing. Nick Hackett is passionate about car racing, he has been navigating race cars since he was thirteen.Now, five years later, it continues to be his passion.
