Django Tango brings gypsy jazz to Chester
0The July 19 Third Thursday summer music series at Chester Village Green will feature a unique style of jazz. Django Tango is a Richmond-based gypsy jazz swing ensemble formed to celebrate the music of legendary French Manouche guitarist Django Reinhardt and the Quintette du Hot Club de France. Members are: Russ Hanchin, guitar; James Carrington Beard, guitar; and Carter Blough, bass. Django Tango has been playing restaurants, breweries, wineries and concerts in the Richmond area since 2013. Planning Commission recommends rezoning denial; McLaughlin wants to relocate his company to site
0Home builder Barney McLaughlin’s proposal to rezone a 2.2-acre property at 1701 Ware Bottom Spring Road received a thumbs-down recommendation from the Planning Commission last month. The 3-1 vote to recommend denial will be considered by the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors at 6 p.m. July 25. McLaughlin is requesting to rezone the property from I-1 light industrial to I-3 heavy industrial.
