Chesterfield Historical Society Offers Scout Merit Badge Workshops in August
0The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia in partnership with the Chesterfield County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer Merit Badge Workshops for scouts during August. These workshops are offered by a merit badge counselor certified with the Heart of Virginia Council. Archaeology merit badge workshop will be held on Monday, Aug. 3 and August 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Historic Trinity Church, 10111 Iron Bridge Road. Medflight lands in Chester for serious vehicle crash
0The morning rush hour was in full swing on July 3, and many commuters were either heading to work or possibly out of town for the holiday weekend. At approximately 7:53 a.m., there was a vehicle crash at the 2300 block of West Hundred Road, with the vehicle overturned. The occupant was trapped. Fire and medical personnel from Dutch Gap Fire Station were quickly en route for the rescue. According to Captain Joe Harvey, deputy fire marshal of Chesterfield Fire and EMS, rescue crews extricated the patient by lifting the vehicle off.
