The morning rush hour was in full swing on July 3, and many commuters were either heading to work or possibly out of town for the holiday weekend.

At approximately 7:53 a.m., there was a vehicle crash at the 2300 block of West Hundred Road, with the vehicle overturned.

The occupant was trapped. Fire and medical personnel from Dutch Gap Fire Station were quickly en route for the rescue.

According to Captain Joe Harvey, deputy fire marshal of Chesterfield Fire and EMS, rescue crews extricated the patient by lifting the vehicle off.
