Kindergarten registration day is April 14
0Throughout central Virginia, April 14 is the date to register children for kindergarten. Kindergarten is a full-day program offered in every Chesterfield County elementary school. A child must be five years old on or before Sept. 30 to attend kindergarten. 1L.C. Bird running back Shedrick McCall (6-1, 245) pulled in his first of what should be many college offers this week when Old Dominion extended a scholarship to him. 1Former Matoaca standout Aaron Monts attended Richmond Christian last year. No matter what school he attended, there was little doubt that he’d be a college-level running back. He committed to Virginia State this past week. “The atmosphere and scholarship this there,” Monts said. “There’s a great chance of playing early.” Monts was an integral part of Pat Manuel’s offense in 2013 as a part of a backfield by committee where he played solidly. Youth Learn-to-Row program
8River City Crew, a non-profit youth rowing program will be running three Learn-to-Row camps for rising 8ths thru 11th graders. These are two week, Monday through Friday programs for beginners with no rowing experience. We also have Intermediate/Advanced camps for experienced youth rowers and sculling lessons. Upon completion rowers will be eligible to join our team for the fall and spring seasons.
