0Chesterfield County Public Library will host writer D. Randall Blythe, more popularly known as the lead singer of the rock band Lamb of God. The lyricist will talk about his recently published memoir as part of the library’s author visit series. The memoir called “Dark Days,” documents Blythe’s recent experience in a nineteenth century prison in the Czech Republic after being arrested for manslaughter. Historical Society offers American Heritage Merit Badge Workshop in December

The Boy Scout American Heritage Merit Badge Workshop will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Historic Trinity Church, 10111 Iron Bridge Rd., Chesterfield. Chesterfield Promotes First Woman to Battalion Chief
2Joy Wallace can frequently be seen at local fires. Just like any of the male firefighters, Wallace would suit up in the turnout gear (protective clothing) and don the self contained breathing apparatus, which would weigh around 60 pounds or more.
