World Weary

0

As I lounge on my couch, in my comfy clothes, legs stretched out on my husband’s lap; I am weary while watching the news. I am exhausted, I am heartbroken, I am disgusted, I am sickened, I am tired of this world that we live in, what in the world has happened to humankind? We are, without a doubt, on a dangerous path. We seem to be numb, we are gunning each other down in mass shootings, and we do not even blink an eye, the ocean is devouring our coasts with each passing storm, we keep denying climate change.…

To make room for bicycles, they should have bought up more right-of-way. Driving west, I make a left turn on to Petersburg Street. I can just barely get my car into this turning lane. With real heavy traffic, cars and trucks are passing me in both west and east lanes, barely missing me by inches. There I sit, in “dead water” with “white knuckles,” waiting to be…

Surveillance cameras later revealed the female suspect was pulling clothing from display racks and putting it into a large bag being carried by the male suspect. What the investigating officers did not know at the time was that just prior to stealing from Victoria’s Secret the same two suspects had stolen numerous clothing items from the Hollister store in the…
