Jasiah Williams (Twitter) Thomas Dale High School’s starting quarterback and defensive back, Jasiah Williams, made his college choice in front of teammates and family last week. He will be attending the University of Richmond. “Jasiah is one of the hardest working kids we’ve ever had play for us,” Thomas Dale coach Kevin Tucker said. “He’s coachable and is himself a coach on the field, leading his team on both sides of the ball.” Despite missing time due to injury, last year Williams passed for 149 yards and a touchdown, ran for 185 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes…

Former L.C. Bird quarterback Anthony Harris suits up for the Minnesota Vikings. This offseason, the Minnesota Vikings signed L.C. Bird alum Anthony Harris to a $3 million contract.  In just the opening week of the NFL season, it’s already paying dividends. Harris intercepted two passes in Minnesota’s 28-13 victory over Atlanta Sunday afternoon.  Last season, he intercepted a career-high three passes, including a two in one game against the Chicago Bears. The 1954 Thomas Dale High School football team went 9-0 under the tutelage of coach Ed Karpus. It was the first time the Knights were undefeated. The following players were named to the All-Suburban team: Bobby Dale, Mack Daniels, Buzzy Haymans, H.O. Lyne and Bruce Nunnally.
