The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a robbery.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, a young man was standing outside his apartment in the 3900 block of Handel Court in Squire Hill Apartments. A gold-colored sedan, possibly a Toyota, stopped near him and a black male wearing all-black clothing and a mask got out of the driver’s side front seat. He pointed a gun toward the victim’s feet and demanded his shoes. The victim refused, so a second black male suspect exited the vehicle from the rear passenger side. Before that passenger reached the victim, the victim could hear a gun being cocked, so he complied with the robbers. The second robber punched the victim in the face and took the necklace and shoes. The suspects left in the gold-colored car and headed toward Belmont Road.

A break in the robbery case came when the victim’s mother saw the stolen shoes on an Instagram site. Site administrators provided pictures to the police of two males who had the shoes in their possession. They were both black males in their mid-to-late teens, and their pictures can be seen on the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers website, www.crimesolvers.net.
