To the Editor:
I agree that there is entirely too much negativity, hatred and anger in our country, but the majority of it is coming from the extreme Trumpet movement that I will assume is the Republican Party. I have never heard the threatening, screaming, lunatic behavior of the Trump supporters and the Cruz supporters. I didn’t have a problem with Republican ideology until the Bush era. But Trump has trumped them all. I look at his face and it screams of hatred. If this is the new Grand Old Party then we are doomed. People that I thought were intelligent and caring people have resorted to name calling and have dumped family and friends who dared not agree with them. I have always felt that I would defend anyone’s right to their feelings and their candidate – and I still feel that way – but I won’t have my beliefs and my right to the candidate I back trampled on either and that is where the difference is. I thought our two-party system worked well until the screaming hate-filled rants started and I wonder where the respect for our brothers and sisters has gone. I tend to agree on most points with Mr. Gray, not all but at least he comes at you with a pen and his feelings, not a loaded screaming rant-filled diatribe the Trumpets bring to every single venue they attend. If they prevail we are in BIG trouble.
