Shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, an off-duty Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Deputy was working security at the Addison at Swift Creek Apartments on Lonas Parkway in Chesterfield County. Suddenly and without warning, he was fired upon by a suspect in a passing vehicle. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect’s vehicle exited the clubhouse parking lot nearest Building 4901. The vehicle made a quick maneuver in front of the deputy’s parked car and an occupant in the vehicle opened fire on the deputy. Thankfully, the deputy was not struck. The suspect vehicle immediately fled the scene toward Hull Street Road.
