WHOLE GRAINS – 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Senior Advocate’s Office, Chesterfield Community Development Building, 9800 Government Center Pkwy. Learn about the benefits of eating whole grains daily and the difference between whole grains and refined grains. Girls will collaborate on engineering a GoldieBlox project, gaining confidence in their abilities and the inspiration to pursue science and math. Recommended for girls five to nine years old. YOUR WILD BACKYARD – 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.  Central Library. Learn about the wild behavior that happens in your own backyard. Meet rescued birds and animals, including a turkey vulture, owls, hawks, turtles, snakes, an opossum, and a tarantula. Register online at library.chesterfield.gov

CCPL CHESS CLUB – 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Meadowdale Library. Learn to play chess in a relaxed, stress-free environment, or meet others who enjoy the game.  All ages and skill levels are welcome.
