Music artist to perform at free event
After three years touring in Europe, Michi returns to Chester to perform an acoustic concert.
She will perform a solo acoustic concert from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at Easy Street Grub-N-Pub, 2612 Perdue Springs Drive. Admission is free and open to all ages.
Michi is currently ranked No. 1 on Richmond-Petersburg’s Reverb Nation folk music chart. Michi and her band have performed for crowds of up to 250,000 and have opened for Grammy-Award winning recording artists including Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen, Meghan Trainor, Kelly Rowland and Betty Who.

Winter hike offered at new park along Falling Creek

Explore the outdoors with Chesterfield County Department of Parks and Recreation’s Winter Hikes.
Explore Mary B. Stratton Park, a park not yet open to the public. Hike along old trails and bushwhack through forested uplands, meadows, floodplains and along Falling Creek. Discover an old beaver dam and the cascades of Trampling Run. Minimum age is 8. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This hike is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16. The price is $4 per person.
The hike departs from Rockwood Nature Center, 3401 Courthouse Road.

Oyster Feast coming March 2
Oysters of all shapes, sizes and flavors and adult beverages will be served at the 13th annual Kiwanis Club of Central Chesterfield’s Oyster Feast from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at the Dale Ruritan Club located at Route 10 and Chippenham Parkway.
No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $30 and are sold by members of the club, at Longest and Daniels Realtors or by calling (804) 748-2240 or 748-6556. All proceeds from ticket sales with benefit the club’s support for the Terrific Kids program, local charities and the L.C. Bird High School Key Club. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Schott Fisher of Fish Radio.
