Former L.C. Bird standout Mykey Anderson is set to transfer at the collegiate level.  Anderson was a part of UVA Wise’s roster for one season.

As a senior at Bird, Anderson received accolades for his play on offense, defense, and special teams. On defense he totaled 32 tackles and four interceptions, while on offense Anderson had over 500 total yards and four touchdowns to help Bird to a 7-3 season in 2018.

“Mykey Anderson is a dynamic football player,” said L.C. Bird coach Troy Taylor. “Mykey had a great senior season for us, playing both at corner and slot receiver, Taylor continued. “He’s also a very fine young man from a good family.”

Daijuane Dorsey

Former Skyhawk from L.C. Bird, Daijaune Dorsey is entering the transfer portal in his junior year of his college career.  Dorsey first played at Fullerton (Calif.) College, and later transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Under the coaching of Billy Napier, Dorsey played in six games on special teams for the Ragin’ Cajuns tallying six tackles in limited action.

The 6-1, 186-pound defensive back was a part of two state championship teams L.C. Bird back in 2014 under coach David Bedwell.

“Daijaune also played at Meadowbrook for me,” Taylor said. “I am very proud of Daijaune and what he’s been able to accomplish since leaving L.C. Bird.”
