Thomas Dale offensive and defensive lineman T.J. Minter will look to make a strong debut at the collegiate level next season.  The 6-3, 270 pound senior has committed to play at Hampden-Sydney.

“T.J. Minter has been a great asset to Thomas Dale football,” said coach Kevin Tucker. “He constantly strives in the classroom.”  “T.J. exemplifies what it means to be a great leader, teammate, and football.”

Minter tallied 13 tackles in limited defensive action, but stood out most for his blocking at offensive guard. He protected quarterback Jasiah Williams and opened holes for running back Chris Tyree.

Bryce Carter, a defensive standout at Thomas Dale, adds another high, profile offer to his resume. As Carter stated on his Twitter account, @bryceacarter_9, he received an out-of-state offer from West Virginia University.  Carter had 99 tackles last season, tallying nine quarterback sacks.

Carter helped lead the Knights to a 9-4 season, advancing to the regional finals in the playoffs. Despite the success, the 6-3, 250-pound junior also announced that he would be transferring to Life Christian Academy, where he will reclassify and graduate in 2022 instead of 2021.
