On Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at approximately 10 p.m., two women approached the pharmacy counter of the Walgreens on Buford Road and said they were there to pick up a prescription for a family member. The pharmacist on duty explained that the prescription, which had been received the previous day, was found to be fraudulent and was not filled. Shortly after 1 a.m. on March 3, 2016, a man entered the 7-Eleven convenience store at 13866 Village Place Dr. The suspect walked through the store and exposed himself to the woman working behind the counter. On Friday, Feb. 26, at about 1:50 a.m., two armed men arrived at the VIP Motor Inn, 2301 Willis Road, in a gold-colored, four-door Chrysler 300. On Saturday, Feb. 20, at approximately 3:15 p.m., three men entered the Walmart in Chattanooga Plaza Shopping Center on Hull Street Road. They went to the electronics department and appeared to be looking at iPods. After a short period of time, one of the male suspects tried breaking into the locked iPod case while the other two stood watch at the isles. On Feb. 15, a man entered the Manchester Moose Lodge, located at 11110 Trade Rd. in Chesterfield County. Shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, an off-duty Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Deputy was working security at the Addison at Swift Creek Apartments on Lonas Parkway in Chesterfield County. Suddenly and without warning, he was fired upon by a suspect in a passing vehicle. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect’s vehicle exited the clubhouse parking lot nearest Building 4901. The vehicle made a quick maneuver in front of the deputy’s parked car and an occupant in the vehicle opened fire on the deputy. Thankfully, the deputy was not struck.
