County firefighters are riding in style, a new paint and body style that comes with the delivery of several new fire engines and four new tankers. The units aren’t just for oohing and aahing over, but are fulfilling a specific need in the county. The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program is asking for your help this week to solve a robbery On March 16, 2015, at approximately 9:45 p.m., a man entered the Dollar General at 14501 Spruce Ave. After briefly walking through the store, he approached the clerk, displayed a pistol and demanded money. The thief then fled the area on foot. Luckily, no one was injured during the robbery. The suspect was described to detectives as a black male standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 250 pounds. Between Friday, April 17, and Monday, April 20, two homes were broken into in the Southcreek subdivision in southern Chesterfield County. One home was on Southcreek Drive and the other was on Majestic Creek Drive. Many electronic items, such as PlayStation and Xbox gaming systems, jewelry, gift cards and cash were taken from the homes. The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program is asking for your help this week to solve a cold case homicide. Just before 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014, officers responded to the 3300 block of Meadowdale Boulevard for a report of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located two adult male shooting victims. One of the men, David Emmanuel-Sinclair Copeland, 23, of the 3300 block of Meadowdale Boulevard, died at the scene.
