The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred in the 13700 block of Beach Road at about 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10. Police said the driver of a 2001 Lexus sedan was driving east on Beach Road when he ran off the right side of the roadway, striking multiple trees.  Both the driver – Noah Page, 18, of the 13400 block of Janeka Drive in Chesterfield – and a juvenile passenger were pronounced deceased on scene. Chester march encouraged peaceful demonstration More than 400 people participated in a peaceful demonstration on Saturday, marching one mile, from the Chester Village gazebo to Thomas Dale High School. The march, led by 2020 Thomas Dale High School graduate Zuri Washington, was an effort to allow people to express their concerns about the recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. All three received national attention due to their tragic deaths. Floyd and Taylor by questionable arrest procedures by law enforcement in their home states of Minnesota and Kentucky, respectively. Police have arrested a suspect who shot at and wounded a Chesterfield County Police officer May 27. At about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a reported shooting in the 5400 block of Remuda Drive. As some officers worked to locate the shooting victim, other responding officers began patrolling the area. Two officers observed a suspicious vehicle on Cogbill Road and initiated a traffic stop. Police recovered hundreds of stolen tools from a residence in the 6700 block of Mason Valley Drive on Tuesday, Feb. 25. On Feb. 21, police received a report that a known suspect was selling stolen tools from a residence in the 6700 block of Mason Valley Drive. On Feb. 25, detectives executed a search warrant at the home and recovered hundreds of stolen tools. Also on that date, Amilcar D. Palucho, 43, of the 6700 block of Mason Valley Drive, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen goods and larceny with intent to sell; both charges are felonies. Additional charges…

The Chesterfield County police is excited to announce that the Bensley subdivision has become the third Chesterfield neighborhood to safeguard its property using SmartWater CSI. Bensley joins the Bayhill Pointe and Mason Woods subdivisions, which in 2018 became the first two areas in Chesterfield to embrace this technology. SmartWater CSI is a colorless liquid that contains a unique code that is registered to a particular user. GordonNeal Wise Police arrested three suspects in relation to a shooting that occurred on Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) at about 2:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. In a press release, police said a tractor-trailer had just merged onto Chippenham Parkway north when its driver heard a gunshot. The driver realized he had been shot and saw a gold Hyundai Sonata occupied by three people passing his vehicle and heading north. Chesterfield County Police continue to investigate a woman’s death. Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, police were called to the area of Kingsland Glen Drive for a report of a suspicious situation. Upon arrival, officers located a body that had been burned. Through investigation, detectives identified the remains as those of Helana M. Swigert, 24, of no permanent address. Her cause of death has not yet been determined.

Goode Pierce The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of East Hundred Road and Meadowville Road on March 19 was recently charged with involuntary manslaughter. Police said a Mazda Protege was traveling east on East Hundred Road when it began to turn left at a crossover, but then reentered the eastbound travel lane. A white Infiniti sport utility vehicle, which was traveling behind the Mazda, struck the Mazda and pushed it into the crossover. The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a vehicle crash that occurred in the 4500 block of Iron Bridge Road at about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. Police said a black BMW was traveling west on Iron Bridge Road when it left the roadway and traveled down an embankment near Falling Creek north of Route 150. Two men were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Three arrest warrants were obtained for Abdul-Malik Lawton, 37, of Richmond, related to DUI and driving on a revoked license.

Brockenbrough A 24-year-old resident of the 4100 block of Walderbrook Court – located near Turner and Belmont roads – was arrested last week and charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the shooting death of Tyvin K. Dixon, 28. Police responded to a shooting around 7:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the 9700 block of River Road in Matoaca. Dixon was transported to an area hospital, where he died. Kevin R. Brockenbrough was arrested Oct. 22 and was being held in the Chesterfield County Jail, according to police spokeswoman Liz Caroon.
