0The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program is using its resources to help solve two related bank robberies. On Saturday, June 27, at about 11:15 a.m., a male suspect robbed the Wells Fargo bank branch at 9601 Amberdale Drive. He entered the bank wearing a full-face mask and demanded cash from the tellers while brandishing a handgun. On Saturday, July 18, at about 11:20 a.m., the same white male suspect entered the same Wells Fargo bank branch and again robbed the tellers at gunpoint, brandishing a pistol-grip-style shotgun. Summertime Access to Reading at Beulah UMC
0Beulah United Methodist Church decided to join Chesterfield County’s STAR (SummerTime Access to Reading) program, and host neighborhood elementary school students and their families for three evenings of books, snacks, games and crafts. The main idea was to keep children reading over the summer so they will be better prepared for school in September. Three Tuesday evenings were scheduled – one each in June, July and August.
