Chesterfield County Public Library is donating fabric masks to a women’s shelter and 3-D-printed plastic straps for masks to Chippenham Hospital. Library staff made 75 masks and 100 plastic straps using the library’s sewing machines and 3-D printers. The plastic straps are designed to attach to a mask’s elastic ear loops, which relieves the pressure from the wearer’s ears.

Library staff are making approximately 100 additional masks to donate to a doctor’s office and a local company. Recently, the library donated 20 fabric masks to a Chesterfield County company.
