On Friday, May 17, Chesterfield Police responded to a report that a man had been found deceased in a vehicle in a parking lot in the 15700 block of Woods Edge Road. The man was identified as Timothy V. Kitt, 39, who had been reported missing May 14. The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. A cause of death has not yet been determined, but at this point there are no signs of foul play. Kitt, of the 2600 block of Mangowood Drive in Chesterfield, did not return home from work May 14.

Three adults were displaced when fire damaged their home in the 5300 block of Ridgerun Terrace on Thursday, May 2. Fire and medical personnel were dispatched to the residence at 12:51 a.m., Chesterfield Fire and EMS spokesman Jason Elmore said. Fire could be seen coming from the rear of the structure, he said. A teacher from Thomas Dale High School was assaulted while in the classroom on Wednesday, April 22, and the injuries sent the teacher to the hospital, police said. Chesterfield police served a warrant on a man who was wanted on suspicion of robbery following incidents outside Falling Creek Apartments around 7 a.m., Wednesday, April 24. Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect and a suspect vehicle. Detectives identified the suspect as Franklin P. Robinson, 37, of the 4800 block of Sydclay Drive in Henrico. Police obtained warrants for Robinson for two counts of robbery and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Smoke was spotted coming from the roof vents when fire crews arrived at 5:02 p.m., fire department spokesman Jason Elmore said.
