The Chesterfield County Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded Thursday, August 6, at 12:09 p.m. to the 2700 block of Martingale Road for the report of an apartment fire. Fire crews arrived to find smoke coming from the front door of the apartment. Fire crews entered to find a fire in the kitchen. It took crews approximately fifteen minutes to get the fire under control. The apartment suffered moderate damage especially in the kitchen where the fire started. The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and locate two thieves. Around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, two young men entered the AT&T store located at 11649 Midlothian Turnpike, at the intersection of Courthouse Rd. They left the store only minutes later, but it was enough time for them to have stolen four Samsung-brand smartphones. The phones were display models, and valued at more than $2,600. On July 22, 2015, Chesterfield County Police were called to a residence off the 8700 block of Forest Hill Avenue in reference to a house being shot at.
